What is a Void-of-Course Moon?

Void Moon

The Moon takes about 2.5 days to travel through a sign and when she’s made her last aspect (connection) to another planet and is about to enter another sign she is said to be “void-of-course”. When the Moon is “without a course” it’s believed that anything initiated during this period will amount to nothing.

There are some things you definitely want to avoid doing when the Moon is void but you also don’t want to become paranoid about this because you have to live your life.

Let’s start with what you should avoid doing:

  • Don’t start something new. Like a new job. If you do, there’s a chance you will leave rather unexpectedly! Same goes for dating. Meeting up with new people you hope to build a relationship with during a VOC Moon will end in disappointment.

  • Don’t schedule important business meetings as any plans made in that meeting will fail to materialize.

  • Social events where you hope to make an impression.

Here is what is not affected or negatively impacted upon by a VOC Moon:

  • Anything that is part of your day-to-day routine. If you’re a teacher, keep teaching, if you’re a bus driver, keep driving that bus! There is no reason to stop routine work during a VOC Moon.

And, here’s what you should do:

  • Mail or submit your tax return if you don’t want any further action taken (such as a tax audit).

  • Bargain-hunt.

  • Throw out clutter. Organize your office/home.

  • Rest, sleep.
